Face masks are the ones that separate good skin from great skin. A mask should be applied three times a month, especially when the summer or winter ends. Face masks can work wonders for your skin, leaving it clean and fresh.
Use a flat wide brush from your makeup kit so that you avoid using your fingers. Gather your hair in a scarf or headband so that it doesn't get in your way. Apply the mask using the brush and use even strokes. Retain the mask for at least 20 minutes unless otherwise stated on the tube. When it comes time to remove it, moisten it with some water and rub it off gently. If it's a peel-off mask, peel it off and rinse your face with plenty of water.
For dry to normal skin use a nourishing mask, while for oily skin it is recommended you use a mask with a clay base. If you don't have pimples and acne but you have blackheads, use a grainy mask. Avoid the grainy mask if you have acne. Peel-off masks are usually recommended to all skin types, unless you have acne or a rash. Be sure to thoroughly clean your face before applying the mask and use moisturizer after removing it.
